Low-Fee & Sliding-Scale Counseling in Eugene & Springfield, Oregon
The page covers affordable, accessible therapy for those seeking meaningful support without the barriers of insurance.
Accessible, Meaningful Therapy Without Barriers
In my own life, I’ve learned that chasing maximum profit often requires participating in systems that ask us to abandon ourselves—ignoring what feels true, relational, or humane. Over time, I’ve come to understand that living authentically requires generosity, integrity, and a willingness to engage with others in a real and grounded way.
Generosity, when practiced intentionally, doesn’t diminish us. It makes life more livable and more connected to the people and communities that sustain us.
This is why I’ve chosen to work outside the insurance system and offer low-fee and sliding-scale therapy. This model allows me to show up without the distortions that can come with insurance-based care. It also makes therapy easier to access for people who might otherwise be stuck on waitlists, denied coverage, or unable to find a provider whose values align with their needs.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, life transitions, or deeper existential questions, My work offers a supportive place to slow down, understand yourself, and move toward meaningful change.
Why People Seek Low-Fee or Sliding-Scale Therapy
People come to me at a reduced rate for many reasons. You may resonate with one of the following:
Insurance isn’t actually usable because your deductible or co-pays are too high.
You want a depth-oriented, existential approach that goes beyond short-term symptom management.
You’re facing a major life transition and need support sooner than insurance networks can offer.
You prefer not to use OHP or insurance for privacy or autonomy.
OHP, Trillium, or insurance networks have long waitlists—or no available providers at all.
Your previous OHP provider was lost during the PacificSource → Trillium transition.
You’re not covered under OHP and full-fee private therapy is out of reach.
You prefer the freedom of choosing a therapist without insurance involvement.
My low-fee structure exists because therapy should be accessible in a way that doesn’t compromise depth, presence, or authenticity. The sliding scale allows more people to engage in meaningful work while still supporting a sustainable practice.
Sliding Scale Fees
To accommodate a wide range of financial situations, I offer sliding-scale rates for a number of open spots:
$40 – $105 per 50-minute session
At the start of our work, we’ll talk about what you can sustainably afford, and we’ll choose a rate that allows you to engage in therapy without financial strain.
I don’t require proof of income; I trust clients to choose a rate that is respectful of both your needs and mine.
Is This a Replacement for OHP?
Low-fee and sliding-scale counseling can be an option for people who:
Cannot afford or quality for insurance
lost their OHP provider due to insurer transitions (PacificSource → Trillium)
cannot find a therapist accepting OHP
prefer therapy that is fully private and off insurance records
want an existential, depth-oriented approach
need support faster than OHP networks can currently offer
This is a self-pay service—separate from OHP—but many people come here because OHP or Trillium aren’t meeting their needs.
I am not in-network with OHP, Trillium, or PacificSource for OHP plans. This is a private-pay, low-fee alternative.
Who I Work With
I support adults navigating:
Identity exploration and existential concerns
Emotional numbness or disconnection
Creative, professional, or spiritual stagnation
My approach integrates Existential-Humanistic therapy, relational presence, mindfulness, parts work, and evidence-based interventions when helpful. The goal is always the same: supporting you in becoming who you are and reconnecting with what matters most.
What Working With Me Feels Like
Therapy with me is collaborative, conversational, and grounded in the present moment. Some sessions are spacious and reflective; others are more active or insight-focused. We move at a pace that feels natural, exploring both the practical concerns of daily life and the deeper questions that shape your experience.
Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported.
