My Approach to Therapy
This page outlines how I work with clients, the philosophies that shape my practice, and the integrative methods I draw from in therapy.
Reconnecting With Who You Are
Many people today feel lost—pulled by expectations, overwhelmed by the rapid pace of change, and disconnected from relationships that once felt grounding. In a culture that values productivity over presence, it’s easy to lose touch with who we are and what truly matters.
Therapy can be a place to slow down and reconnect. This authentic encounter invites us to meet ourselves with honesty, compassion, and courage. When we make room for our whole, embodied experience—including the parts of ourselves we avoid or overlook—we begin to reclaim the freedom to shape a more awakened and meaningful life.
What Sessions Are Like
Therapy with me is collaborative, conversational, and grounded in the present moment. Some sessions are spacious and reflective; others are more active, using tools that support insight and change. We move at a pace that feels organic, exploring both the practical concerns of daily life and the deeper questions that shape your experience. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you explore your inner world.
Who This Approach Helps
This approach is a good fit for people who want to understand themselves more deeply, examine long-standing patterns, navigate life transitions, or explore meaning and direction. It can be especially supportive for thoughtful, introspective individuals who sense there is more available in their lives than what they are currently experiencing.
My work often supports people navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, identity questions, or a general sense of disconnection or being “stuck.”
Existential-Humanistic Therapy (My Foundation)
The heart of my work is Existential-Humanistic Therapy, a depth-oriented approach that explores how we make meaning, relate to ourselves and others, and navigate life’s challenges. This approach understands that the ways we suffer are not simply problems to fix, but reflections of how we are relating to ourselves, to one another, and to the world around us. This work becomes an invitation to rediscover who you are in the present—and who you desire to become.
Together we focus on:
Presence — slowing down and tuning toward the here-and-now
Self-understanding — exploring patterns of thought, emotion, and relationship
Authenticity — finding ways to exist that feel aligned with your deepest values
Freedom and responsibility — clarifying choices and creating the life you want to live

How Other Approaches Support This Work
While Existential-Humanistic therapy shapes the foundation of my work, I integrate other modalities in ways that support depth, clarity, and practical change. These approaches enhance and deepen the lived philosophy at the center of my work.
Mindfulness & Meditation
Mindfulness brings attention back to the present moment—the only place where change and clarity are possible. In therapy, we may use brief grounding practices, breath awareness, or experiential reflection to help you relate to your inner world with openness and compassion.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic work helps illuminate the roots of our patterns. By understanding how the past shapes the present, we create space for new ways of living to emerge and cultivate greater freedom in how you relate to yourself and others.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT offers practical tools for working with thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When patterns feel stuck or overwhelming, CBT helps us slow down automatic responses and experiment with new, more supportive ways of engaging with daily life—anchored in the broader search for meaning and authenticity.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS views the mind as composed of inner “parts,” each holding its own perspective or protective role. Working with these parts can help soften inner conflict, access compassion, and integrate aspects of yourself that feel at odds. This aligns naturally with EH therapy’s emphasis on wholeness and personal meaning.
An Integrative, Human Approach
Across all these modalities, my focus remains the same: to help you understand yourself from the inside out, relate to your experience with greater clarity and compassion, and live in a way that feels more grounded, free, and meaningful.
If this approach resonates with you, I welcome you to reach out and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
