Rates & Billing Information

Session Fees

My standard rate for a 50-minute session is $105.

For clients who need a more accessible option, I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients facing financial barriers. If you’re feeling uncertain about the cost of therapy, please reach out, I'm always willing to talk through your situation.

If you’re specifically looking for reduced-cost counseling or want to understand how my sliding scale works, you can read more here: Low-Fee & Sliding-Scale Therapy

I accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards, and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Support

I do not bill insurance directly. However, if you’d like to use your insurance benefits, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your provider for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies widely by plan, but I’m happy to offer any documentation you need to explore this option.

Why Some Clients Prefer Private Pay Therapy

Working together outside of the insurance system creates a kind of spaciousness—a freedom that can meaningfully shape the therapeutic process.

Confidentiality & Autonomy

Insurance companies require diagnostic information and treatment plans to authorize reimbursement. Private pay allows your personal information to remain entirely private and our work to remain guided only by your needs and not by institutional requirements.

Freedom & Flexibility

You and I determine the pace, depth, and direction of our work. We’re not limited by what an insurance company considers “medically necessary,” nor by session limits or predefined timelines.

Many people in Eugene seek therapy precisely because they want a space that’s grounded in authenticity—not shaped by outside systems or expectations.

A More Human, Meaning-Centered Approach

Insurance billing requires a formal mental health diagnosis. In private pay, you have a choice: we can use diagnostic language if it feels meaningful, or we can set it aside. This lets us focus on your lived experience, your growth, and the deeper questions that matter to you—rather than reducing your story to a label.

I’ve found that private-pay work allows me to offer the most consistent, focused, and meaningful care possible.

At its best, therapy is a collaborative, relational, meaning-centered process, not a medical transaction. My intention is to create a space grounded in authenticity, presence, and personal choice, where you can explore what it means to live with more clarity, freedom, and alignment.
